In the 14 years since its inception MSUSND has expanded the knowledge of student visual journalists through meetings with professionals, design projects and the affilates' annual design contest. Alumni have worked for The Wall Street Journal, Chicago Tribune, The Virginian-Pilot, New Orleans Times-Picayune, Arizona Republic and The Oregonian, among others.
